shopping in Chengdu

Shopping in Chengdu ? we bought extra luggage weight in Air Asia  ....

 anticipating lots to buy in Chengdu... disappointed that we just could not find anything worth to buy ..except the sports adventure gear outlet called DECATHLON, which we visited and revisited like 3 times within a week !!  The warm winter gear are really good buys here....

TIAN FU Metro

The Tian Fu area is mainly fashion wear and probably one would get this anywhere in any cities.

 in the train !! very clean, very modern , very high tech !! there is only two Metro lines at the moment in Chengdu ( I think there is already plans to launch another 12 lines in future ) and after 2 days in Chengdu we are so acquainted with the metro, easy to get around. Taxis are many as well and they are metered so tourist wont be cheated. The only problem we face is the language !! We cant communicate with the Chinese residents even though we tried to speak our Mandarin, they still stare at us ! probably sounds french to them...

THE JUNLI ANCIENT STREET - yes, its worth a visit. Its part of the Hash route and this is not a good idea....as half the members never made it to the end. The female members were "lost" among the shopping crowd....

 came across a very nice quaint cafe..... not knowing its " Starbucks". We have been deprived very badly of caffeine for the whole week, so i just cant help it but to order the biggest takeaway latte... in Chengdu or maybe China, coffee is pretty rare. Everywhere they serve tea !

from JunLi Street, we wonder along the Tibetan Road... went into a Tibetan restaurant to use the toilet. Very friendly Tibetans.
